DescriptionI’m Lolie, a French lyricist writing in both French and English. I’ve been writing for many years, with a particular love for emotional, personal lyrics about love, loss, memory, resilience, and the experiences that shape who we become. While I’m new to sharing my lyrics with composers and artists, writing itself has been part of my life for a long time. I write from emotion, trying to put into words the things we often struggle to say out loud. I don’t sing or compose — my place is in the words. I’m looking for composers, musicians, and vocalists who connect with those words and want to give them a musical voice. I’m especially drawn to emotional pop, rock, indie, and piano-driven ballads, while remaining open to different musical directions. What matters most to me is sincerity, emotion, and finding the right person to bring the words to life.

Dreams & AmbitionsMy ambition is to see my words become songs. I have been writing for many years, but I am now ready to let my lyrics leave the page and find their own voice. I hope to connect with composers, musicians and singers who genuinely feel something in my words and want to bring them to life through music. I am not looking to perform myself — my passion is writing. If one of my lyrics could someday become a song that moves someone, that would mean everything to me.

EquipmentI’m a lyricist rather than a musician or producer, so I don’t use recording equipment. My work is focused entirely on writing lyrics.

Lyrics

OVER MY HEAD

Genres: Indie, Pop, Rock

Verse 1

The way some people act and think,
Their logic drives me to the brink.
The whole damn world has lost its mind,
And common sense is hard to find.

There are kids barely fourteen,
Already taller than I’ve ever been.
Looking up at them is such a pain,
My poor damn neck won’t be the same.

Chorus

It’s over my head, over my head,
So many things I just don’t get.
It’s over my head, I’ve had my share,
Some days I’d toss it all in the air.

It’s over my head, but after all,
Being down here ain’t bad at all.
Go ahead, keep looking down on me,
You’d be surprised by what I see.

Verse 2

My feet are killing me, what a pain,
At shows and concerts, it’s all the same.
They always find a spot in front,
Like being that tall just ain’t enough.

I’m up on the tips of my toes,
Trying to catch every bit of the show.
And sixty-nine? I’ll spare you the design…
Two different heights make it hard to align.

Chorus

It’s over my head, over my head,
So many things I just don’t get.
It’s over my head, I’ve had my share,
Some days I’d toss it all in the air.

It’s over my head, but after all,
Being down here ain’t bad at all.
Go ahead, keep looking down on me,
You’d be surprised by what I see.

Verse 3

Mirrors in elevators, restrooms too,
Why are they too high for my view?
Even the toilets are way off the ground,
My boots just dangle, they don’t touch down.

One step for them means three for me,
Just keeping up takes energy.
So easy to look down on me,
When you’re built like a damn tree.

Final Chorus

It’s over my head, over my head,
So many things I just don’t get.
It’s over my head, I’ve had my share,
Some days I’d toss it all in the air.

It’s over my head, but after all,
Being down here ain’t bad at all.
Go ahead, keep looking down on me,
You’d be surprised by what I see.

Outro

You know what? Being me ain’t so bad,
Might be the best deal I ever had.
And after everything I’ve said…
Almost everything goes over my head.
